At Palm Valley Church we strive to help people take the next steps in their relationship with Christ. Getting connected into the church and developing relationships is an important step in this process.
At Palm Valley Church, the Small Groups are the best place for sustained life change to occur. In a Small Group, people journey through the Bible together and discuss the issues and challenges of life. It's also where they pray, care for one another, and are missed if they don't show up.
Practically speaking, there will never be a way for the staff to personally minister to everyone who attends our church. That's why we place such a high premium on Small Groups. It's how we minister effectively at Palm Valley Church.
How do I get involved?
Feel free to contact a Small Group leader directly to find out more information about their group. For information about specific groups click on one of the buttons above titled Find a Group or Small Group Map.
What Types of Groups are there?
There are several ways that we categorize our Small Groups. They are first designated by community or area then by the type of group. “Couples and Mixed Groups” have a mix of married couples and singles. The general age range of each group is also listed. This is done so that you can find a group that best fits with your current life situation. There are also “Singles Groups” for single adults, “Men’s Groups”, and “Women’s Groups”. For Junior High (6th-8th grade) and High School Small Groups visit the
Student Ministries web site.
If you need assistance finding a group that best fits your situation, please contact the Small Group department at the church office, (623) 536-2106 or

What Does the Group Study?
Each Small Group has the ability to choose their own curriculum within the guidelines set out by the Small Group Ministry at Palm Valley Church. Groups typically rotate the types of studies that they choose ranging from topical studies (Marriage, parenting, serving, etc) to Bible studies where they study a single book of the Bible for a period of time. The exception is that once a year the church provides a study that corresponds to our annual spiritual growth campaign. During this time every Small Group will be working through the same study that corresponds to daily Bible Studies and the messages from the weekend service.
What should I expect at a typical Small Group Meeting?
Small Group meetings typically last for about 90 minutes. The first portion of the meeting is designed to be a social time where group members catch up on the events of the past week and new members are introduced and welcomed to the group. Next comes the study portion. The studies are designed to be interactive and discussion based. People are encouraged to share in a comfortable and safe environment. Finally, the meeting closes with prayer request and praise reports.
